My brother died

I haven't updated DeviantArt in nearly two months because I stopped drawing.

On October 15th, My brother died.

Nothing has been the same. It's been so painful for me and my family that I haven't been able to even write about it until now. It feels like a nightmare. None of it feels real and I keep thinking I'm going to wake up. I'm walking around in a fog. I can't begin to explain the depth of pain and loss I'm feeling.

I just saw him, he had just come to visit me. He was fine. We talked on the phone only 2 days before he died in his sleep. They did an autopsy and we are still waiting for the results.

It's been a month now and I am walking around with a heavy cloud over my head. I'm not the same person anymore, I don't think I ever will be. It's like I'm a shadow of my former self and no one realizes that when I smile it's forced. I cry every night, it dominates my thoughts. Some days I think I'm going to be okay but then the tears keep coming.

I am working on a portrait of my little brother.

I will post it here when I'm finished.

I recently drove across the country from New York to San Francisco with my boyfriend and we decided to stay when our toyota Corolla broke down on the way over the bay bridge.
